Corrections Policy

We correct mistakes openly. If a published report contains an error of fact, tell us and we will check it.

How to report an error

Email southrepublicofficial@gmail.com or call +91 76000 00700 with the headline, the publication date and what you believe is wrong. You can also use the Contact Us form.

How we handle it

• The newsroom reviews the request and checks it against the original sources.
• Confirmed factual errors are corrected in the online report.
• A note is added to the report when the correction changes its meaning, and the modification date is updated.
• Errors in a printed or e-paper edition are corrected in the following edition.

What is not a correction

Disagreement with an opinion column, or with a fact that is accurately attributed to a named source, is handled as a letter to the editor rather than a correction.
