Independence

Editorial decisions are made by the newsroom under the responsibility of the owner/editor. Advertising and commercial arrangements do not influence what we report.

Sourcing and verification

• Reports are based on first-hand reporting, named sources or official statements wherever possible.
• Claims that cannot be verified are either attributed clearly or left out.
• Photographs and page scans published with a report are our own or licensed for use.

Attribution

Every published report carries the reporting byline and a publication date and time. Opinion pieces are labelled as editorial or opinion.

Language

South Republic publishes primarily in Gujarati, with English headings and summaries where they help readers. Gujarati text is published in Unicode so it can be read and searched on any device.

Distinguishing advertising

Sponsored or paid placements are labelled “Advertisement” and are kept visually separate from editorial content.
